POLICIES AND ACCESS
Ashland Aerial Arts is prioritizing the health and safety of our community. We are following state guidelines pertaining to public schools regarding masks, distancing and sanitization. Please read our policies below regarding our new protocols to keep our students safe.
We strive to create an accessible space for students across a spectrum of needs. Read our studio access notes below.

SANITATION
Le Cirque Centre Instructors will prep the space daily by:

Wiping down high touch surfaces (bathroom, doors)

Ensure that student chairs and props are labeled and placed appropriately.

Turn on fans, open garage and front doors to maximize air flow (when the air quality is safe to do so).
Participants will assist by:

Wiping down mats and equipment they used.

Hand washing frequently. This will be worked into the schedule between activities, with a staging area to avoid traffic jams.
Studio Covid Protocol Notes
As of March 19 masks are optional in the studio following the Ashland School District guidelines as long as the country stays in low risk. We provide adequately spaced equipment to assist with physical distancing; have an air scrubber and high capacity air filter on during all classes, and, when the weather is warm enough, increase ventilation by opening the bay door.

Doors will remain open, with fans running for as long as temperature and air quality allow.

Ashland Aerial Arts faculty disinfect the bathroom and high touch surfaces.
Students will assist by:

Students wipe their area of the mats and apparatus (as applicable) at the end of each class

Students wash hands before and after class and as necessary during class.
CHECK IN

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before class time.

To avoid the traffic jam that is our entryway, parents can check in outside the front door.

Parents are asked not to stay in the studio during class, to minimize the number of bodies in the room.

Students will leave their belongings at one of the pre-set/spaced chairs
IN CLASS

Apparatus are spaced at least 6' apart.

Skills and activities are designed to maintain physical distance during class and when resting.
END OF CLASS

Please pick up your student in front of the building.

Transportation & Parking
There are several accessible parking spots. Further information is available in the longer access notes.
In Studio Accessibility
The space is accessible for most wheelchair users. Note: there are no automated buttons. There are no barriers to get in. The washroom is gender-neutral, has two horizontal grab bars and space under the sink for wheelchair user access. Support persons are welcome in the space.
Covid
In case of COVID, or other communicable infection, please stay home until clear of symptoms, following current guidelines
Low Sensory Spaces
There are two lower sensory spaces. One is wheelchair accessible, and one is up a few stairs. There are stim items available for use in the studio. You are welcome to take a break, move around, stim, and make noise anytime. There are also ear plugs and sunglasses available for use.
Color & Contrast
There is visual contrast in the space. For example, there is contrast in
the bathroom and with the crash mats in the main area (either in colour or with bright tape).
Fragrances
We encourage the use of unscented products though we cannot
guarantee that we are 100% scent free.
Service Animals
We welcome service animals and have water bowls.
Outdoors to Indoors
There are towels by the door if anyone would like to keep their shoes on, wipe wheelchair wheels, or service animal paws.

For students enrolled with monthly tuition, if you miss a class you can be credited an open gym session to be used within the same month as the missed class. Please email Fly@AshlandAerialArts.Org if you would like this credit applied to your account.
